Mr. K. G. Ananthakrishnan took over as Managing Director of MSD India in December 2009. Prior to this, he was briefly the Chief Operating Officer, MSD India, after Merck & Co, the parent company, acquired Schering Plough. He has also served on the senior management team of Pfizer India and was a member of the Board of Directors of Capsugel Healthcare Ltd., a Pfizer affiliated company. Prior to Pfizer, Mr. Ananthakrishnan served in various senior positions with the former Pharmacia Corporation and Novartis. He has been actively involved in industry related matters and is a member of the Executive Committee & Chairman of the Technical Committee of Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI).

Mr. Ananthakrishnan has a Masters degree in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

Mr. Sanjiv Navangul joined MSD in 2007 as Director - Sales and Marketing. He is credited with having augmented sales of various healthcare companies and is a strategic marketer who has been lauded for his ethical and professional brand building approach. Mr. Navangul has a extensive experience of 20 years across India, Europe and South East Asia and is currently responsible for the planning of sales and marketing strategies for the Chronic Care Specialty and Disease Management portfolio of the company.

Mr. Navangul is an MBA from the University of Pune and holds a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from M.S. University, Baroda.

Mr. Suresh Pattathil joined Fulford in October 2006 as Vice President, Marketing & Sales - Primary Care. He has earlier worked with Pharmacia Upjohn and Pfizer India and brings with him a 21 years long illustrious career in strategic roles for sales, marketing and L&D functions. His business insights, innovation and competitive edge have contributed towards the all around development of the organisation.

Mr. Pattathil is an MBA from Bangalore University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Science also from Bangalore University.

Ms. Monica Chaudhari joined MSD India in February 2010. She has 20 years of proven leadership in marketing, sales management and lifecycle development at Merck & Co. Her forte is starting new ventures and jump starting stalled businesses. Her experience spans the US market and emerging economies such as China and Brazil.

From August 2008, Ms. Chaudhari has served as the Global Brand Leader (GBL) for Arthritis and Urology at Merck & Co. She established three new business units for Merck from January 2003 to July 2008: Obesity, Urinary Incontinence and Sarcopenia (muscle wasting). She has also successfully established a new sales region in the New York City Area. During her tenure as a Senior Director of Sales, she held P&L responsibility for all Merck products.

Ms. Annapurna Das joined Fulford in January 2007 as Associate Director - Strategy & Business Development. She has a rich experience of 12 years in leadership roles for all strategic planning and organisation building within the sales and marketing as well as business development functions of various healthcare companies.

Ms. Das is an MBA from Madurai Kamaraj University and holds a B. Tech. degree from Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT), Sindri.

Mr. A.S. Krishna joined MSD in November 2007 as Director - External Affairs. Prior to this, he has worked with leading pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson as Director - Public Affairs/Government Affairs. With ample experience in maintaining amicable relationships with organisations and allies, at MSD he manages the external environment, helps shape public policies, manages subsidiary communication and runs the Corporate Social responsibility programme for the subsidiary.

Mr. Krishna has a rich experience of 18 years with the Tata Group of Companies and holds a Masters degree in Science.

Mr. Rajesh Marwaha joined MSD as the Finance Director in February 2008. He has spent six years in Dubai and two years in France as Regional Controller. At MSD, Mr. Marwaha supervises the Accounting, Legal, Administration, and Information Technology departments. With his abundant experience of 20 years of working with varied sectors such as audit, FMCG and the home appliances industry, he has helped streamline the organisation's financial activities.

Mr. Marwaha is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Chartered Accountant Institute of India (CAII) and a commerce graduate.

Mr. Sameer Tamhane joined Organon in February 2004 as the country HR co-coordinator for Akzo Nobel in India. Mr. Tamhane has more than 23 years of comprehensive experience in HR, ER and Administration in domains such as consumer durable (Godrej-GE), IT (Silverline and Blue Star Software), industrial products (Owens Corning), mutual funds (Reliance) and pharma (Aventis). He was visiting faculty for HR subjects at various post graduate management institutes in Mumbai.

Mr. Tamhane holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in Management Studies (MBA) in Human Resources Management from Mumbai University.

Dr. Swashraya Shah joined MSD in October 2007 as Medical Director. He brings with a rich experience of 10 years as a Medical Director in leading pharmaceutical companies. Responsible for supervising the research and medical affairs team, Dr. Shah has also worked as a lecturer in prestigious colleges.

Dr. Shah is an MD in Pharmacology and MBBS in medicine and surgery from Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals.

Ashis Mukherjee is the Director, Public Market Initiatives and reports to Mr. K. G. Ananthakrishnan, Managing Director, and is based in Mumbai.

In this role, Ashis is responsible for developing and implementing Public Market Business Strategy, and leads MSD India's Market Access & Public Market Initiatives as well as the Corporate Business.

Ashis brings in twenty one plus years of enriching experience in sales, marketing and training. He started his career with Glaxo Wellcome, and prior to joining MSD, he worked for Sanofi Aventis as Senior Director / Business Unit Head, Hospital, Oncology and Corporate Hospital Team. He has also worked to develop Institutional Business model by co-creating VALUE for the Institutions.

Ashis holds a Master's degree in Science (Human Physiology) from Calcutta University, and a MBA (Marketing) from Mumbai University. Ashis has also undergone residential senior leadership program on "Leadership and Strategy" from Chicago Graduate School of Business (Chicago Booth) at their Singapore campus.

Dr. Ravindra Rangaswamy joined MSD India as head of the Information Technology Division in 2008. He has over two decades of rich experience in diverse industries including pharma, FMCG and banking as well as government research and development facilities.

Dr. Ravindra has established MSD's IT Division and built a robust backbone of IT infrastructure and application landscape to support the robust growth of MSD India. He is a Doctorate from Mysore University, Karnataka.

Mr. Rajiva Madhukar Kothurkar joined Fulford (India) Limited in April 2000 and became Director Regional Business Operations, in February 2010. In a career spanning 19 years, Mr. Mr. Kothurkar has worked with reputed organisations in the areas of technical quality assurance, quality control, production, production planning especially third party development and management, sourcing, and analytical research and development with a focus on method development, stability studies and bioequivalence/ bioavailability studies. He is well versed in local and international regulatory requirements. He also has extensive teachinh and training experience. He is a member of Technical Committee of the OPPI.

Mr. Kothurkar has a B.Sc. (Chemistry), M.Sc. (Chemistry) and Ph.D. (Chemistry) from University of Bombay.

Mr. Niladri N. Biswas took over as Head, Country Procurement in June 2010, He worked for the first four years of his career in the steel industry, after which he joined the pharma industry with Organon India in 1980 as an Industrial Engineer. Since then he has held various senior management positions in various functions including Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement and Supply Chain in legacy Organon and Schering Plough, India. His last assignment was VP - Commercial for L-SP.

Mr. Biswas holds Bachelor of Technology and also Master of Technology (Industrial Engg & O.R.) degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Mr. Anirban Roy Chowdhury joined MSD in February 2009 as the Head of Clinical Research.

He has a rich professional experience of over 11 years. He started his career in academics and subsequently joined AstraZeneca India. At MSD, apart from leading the clinical research team, he contributes significantly in the areas of local health care systems, disease management and clinical operations for clinical research strategy development of the company.

Mr. Chowdhury has a Masters in Pharmacy with a specialisation in Pharmacology from the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal.

Mr. Sukumar Natesan is a guest speaker on corporate governance for colleges and voluntary organizations, a member of the American Association of Financial Management (FAAFM), an accredited member of the Association of Fraud Investigators, USA and an accredited speaker at the Asian Corruption Summit.

He has a B.Sc. degree as well as postgraduate diplomas in Marketing Management (he was the recipient of the Governor's Gold Medal), in Business Management and in Industrial Management. He is also a Certified Compliance Officer of the American Institute of Financial Management

Mr. B. Raveendran has over 37 years of rich and varied experience in the pharma industry, ranging from Sales and Marketing to the supply chain.

Mr. Swarnaraj Jacob's experience in the regulatory affairs domain for the drug industry spans over 10 years: he has worked with organisations such as Eli Lilly and Co. (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Ranbaxy Labs. He joined MSD in July 2005 (prior to the merger) as Manager, Regulatory Affairs. He brings to the organisation a rich knowledge and expertise in the country's drug regulations, planning compliance to regulations beginning with phase I clinical trials onto marketing approvals and post marketing compliance, labeling in compliance with the latest regulations as well as experience of working in the neighbouring markets.

Mr. Jacob has a B.Sc. (Zoology, Chemistry and Botany) from Khallikote College, Berhampur, Orissa and an M.Sc. (Zoology) from the Madras Christian College, Chennai.
